Remote speech therapy is a Swedish innovation which will be piloted in Finland. School children living in remote communities in the Northern Ostobothnia will be able to have therapy sessions in their school while the speech therapist is located at the Pudasjärvi health care centre.
Scotland is also exploring this service model.
